Upcoming French album of Celine Dion. What to expect?

Title: "1 fille & 4 types" (1 girl & 4 guys)
Release date: October 13, 2003 (France), October 14, 2003 (Canada)
4 guys behind the production: Jean-Jacques Goldman, Erick Benzi, Jacques Veneruso and guitarist Gildas Arzel.
First single from the album: Tout l'or des hommes (All Of Man’s Gold). The single will be released in Europe on October 6, 2003. It will be available in two formats: 2-track CD and a DVD single with the video of "Tout l'or des hommes" filmed in May in Nevada.

1 girl & 4 guys? Yes, Celine (one girl) and Jean-Jacques Goldman, Erick Benzi, Jacques Veneruso and guitarist Gildas Arzel (four guys). All in all they are five. Rene, not counted not to ruin the magic of 5, Celine's lucky number :-) It's a band of five. Celine says she loved this experience from the beginning to the very end. She also said that it was a pleasure to sing in French again.

Tout l'or des hommes (All Of Man’s Gold) a first single from the album sounds very guitar. This might be the flavor of the entire album. Jean-Jacques Goldman admits that it was his idea to make this album more acoustic, more guitar. Jean Jacques Goldman, a long time collaborator oversaw Dion's "D'Eux - The French Album" in 1995 and "S'il Suffisait D'Aimer" in 1998.

Is the new French album for francophones only?

No. But it helps a lot if you understand a bit of French :-)

Why does Celine continue to sing in French?

For Celine singing in French is singing from her heart. Known all over the world as an English-speaking contemporary artist, Celine Dion started singing in French. It is French that defines Celine's identity as it has been spoken in a big Dion family. It is in our mother tongue that we can best express ourselves.
