Hello
everyone,
Hope
you are having a wonderful time with the new
live album of Celine Dion. It's a good one! For someone who
like me never made it (yet) to Las Vegas in person, the CD is
a great appetizer. I really want to see the show now!
Anyhow,
in the current issue of Dream On we are facing Celine :-) The
ultimate goal of this undertaking is to trace Celine's character
from her facial features. How does it work? Keep on reading...

Celine's Face
Have you ever
taken a moment to look into the face of someone you love? Have
you ever taken your time to examine the person's eyes, the shape
of the nose and the contour of the lips? Why would anyone want
to do such a gross thing, you might ask. My answer would be -
to learn more about the person you love.
Physiognomy
is the art of judging human character from facial features. Since
physiognomy is not a science, we cannot say for sure if its findings
are 100% true. What we can say though is that it's a lot of fun
to guess someone's character from facial features. I am going
to apply some principles of physiognomy to create a profile of
Celine Dion.
By the way,
if you want to learn more about physiognomy, check
out this page with the bibliography on the topic at the amazon.com.
Here's the promised reading of Celine's face.

The eyes
"My
Mistress' Eyes Are Nothing Like the Sun" declares
Shakespeare in his Sonnet #130. But guess what? Even though Celine's
eyes are nothing like the sun either, they shine very brightly.
Celine's big and expressive eyes still keep that sparkle that
many years ago charmed Rene Angelil who later became Celine's
manager and a husband. If the eyes are the mirror of the soul,
Celine's soul is just fine.
The lips
Celine's
lips slightly point down. This suggests that Celine might be a
moody person. It's a little sign of negativity. Did you notice
that when a person is upset, the corners of his or her lips are
pointing down.
The
thing is that we rarely see Celine's lips like that. Luckily,
Celine wears a beautiful smile almost all the time.
Did
you know that all members of the Dion family inherited the lip
contour of Mrs. Dion? Don't believe me? Look
at this!
The nose
Celine's
nose is the most outstanding facial feature. Let's face it. Celine's
got a big nose. But for a world renowned singer having a big nose
is a key to having a powerful voice. The thing is that the nose
is a wonderful invention. It is the nature's most perfect resonator.
That's actually the reason Celine will never allow a plastic surgeon
to remodel her nose as long as she is planning to have a singing
career. Such transformation can simply change Celine's vocal characteristics.
In this regard, Celine shares the destiny of Barbra Streisand
who is known for her now trademark nose and high note voice. They
gotta live with their noses. Yeap.
The chin
Celine's
rounded and quite outstanding chin is a sign of high ambition
and determination. I suppose it's this chin (and rene Angelil)
who is responsible for Celine's brilliant international career.
THE VERDICT
Celine has
expressive eyes, slightly pointed down lips, a sizeable nose and
a rounded powerful chin.
But do the
"right" eyes, lips, a nose and a chin make a singer?
I don't really think so. Celine is a born charismatic entertainer,
and that's what makes her so successful. Through her eyes, gestures
and the movements she is able to channel the energy. And that's
what makes Celine Dion.
Disclaimer:
Provided Celine didn't undergo some major cosmetic surgery and
changed her looks, my face reading should be about 90% correct
:-)
Hey, and remember
that examining the features of the loved ones is fun.
