Well, how about this one? Celine Dion & Men.

No worries, we are not going to dig out the dirty linen of the Dion-Angelil family. What we are going to do is to analyze the role of men in Celine's private and professional life. Boring? Not at all!

"Coz I am your lady and you are my man". Celine and guys... Some say that Celine Dion as we know her has been made by one man i.e. Rene Angelil. The person who makes such claim (Jean Beaunoyer) actually wrote a book on the subject and which has been recently published. It's called Rene Angelil: The Making of Celine Dion. You know who co-authored the book? Jean Beaulne! This guy was a member of the Baronets ("the Beatles of Quebec") along with René Angélil. In this book, he has collaborated with writer and journalist Jean Beaunoyer to tell the untold story of René Angélil and Céline Dion. A word of warning there. The book is very unauthorized.

Rene Angelil in many ways might be the man # 1 for Celine Dion. He has been her manager, her husband, her protector, a father of her child. Angelil is a genius, one of the most powerful managers in the world of showbiz. He is a gambler too. Maybe that's why Celine made it so big, because Angelil put all his stakes on her.

Are there other men around Celine Dion? Yes, there are! Or should I say, yes, there is because I am talking first of all about Jean-Jacques Goldman. Goldman is a sweetheart of millions of French. He is a talented singer and a songwriter. Goldman helped Celine penetrate the French market. He wrote her most famous French songs such as "Pour que tu m'aime encore", etc.

Dion - Goldman collaboration has been tested through the years. Hey, the latest French album of Celine "1 Fille & 4 Types" is also the work of Goldman. Goldman loves Celine. A perfectionist by nature Goldman has said on many occasions that working with Celine is a dream for a producer, composer and a songwriter. In all public appearances e.g. Celine's 1999 concert in Paris, French TV specials taping, etc, Goldman has been basically declaring his love to Celine. Sweet Celine has been very careful about it, she always kept her relationship with Goldman professional.

What about other men in Celine's life? Well, there was Eddy Marnay, a sacred figure for Celine who helped Celine's career flourish. Eddy Marnay was more of a father figure for Celine. Celine has always cherished her relationship with Eddy Marnay.

There's also Luc Plamondon the father of Ziggy (un garcon pas comme les autres). There are also male models in Celine's videos.

But somehow, Celine is not a seducer, she is a devoted family woman -"Love can touch us one time, and last for the lifetime". In this regard, Celine's son Rene-Charles is the man of her dreams these days :-) And I suppose it's a bad news for the male fans of Celine Dion. No hope in this department. Celine & Men - Dream on!
