Hi, everyone!

We are having a special issue of our Dream On newsletter this month. We are going to take a closer look at why people dream about Celine Dion.

We've been interpreting Celine's dreams as well as the dreams of Celine's fans for about two years now. It might be a good time for us to sum up all the incredible experience we've had and try answer the "why" question. If you think you have an opinion related to the subject, feel free to post it for discussion in the Celine Dreams Club. Thank you!

By the way, did you get your copy of "One Heart", Celine's newest album? It debuted #2 in the USA, #1 in France, Canada and Denmark. If you didn't get hold of the CD yet, you may do so through this direct link to amazon.com.

Why Do People Dream About Celine Dion?

“I want you to see me in your every dream”, sings Celine Dion. As it turns out a lot of people do.

Charisma, 15 dreamed that Celine Dion was in her living room ironing snakes. Tricia, 43, saw Celine Dion as their school choir director. Terry, 38 spotted Celine golfing. Patty, 43 was shopping with Celine. Why do people dream about Celine Dion and what does it mean to have the French Canadian diva or any other public figure for that matter appear in your dream? Is celebrity dreaming normal?

Dreaming, including celebrity dreaming is perfectly normal. Dreams are the messengers from the unconscious. Wishes, fantasies and unrealized opportunities, unresolved issues and subtle fears are all inhabitants of the unconscious and, therefore, their traces can be found in dreams.

Pop stars and other public figures are the symbols of power and status. Celebrity dreams are about the dreamers themselves, and not about celebrities. One Celine Dion fan told us that he realized that his fan dream involving Dion stems from his unconscious desire to have a caring mother just like Celine’s. Therese Dion, Celine’s mother wrote Celine’s first song ever called “It was just a dream”, and virtually was Celine’s first manager who believed in her daughter’s talent from the start.

Celebrity status and glamorous life style are part of mythology, and, therefore, are subject of dreams. Dion’s life has the contours of a common fantasy. The youngest in the family of 14 children, a school dropout from Charlemagne, Canada, Celine turned into a one of the most successful female singers in the world. Having reached the summit of musical Olympus, Dion was able to stay a humble person. People seem able to see through the celebrity to the ordinary little girl from Quebec. It's part of Celine’s gift.

Maybe that's why in a typical Celine Dion fan dream, Celine is a good girl, helping teenagers overcome their identity problems, being a good friend to a lonely woman, or an exemplary mother.
