"Before
I moved to Las Vegas, I dreamt that I was walking down
some kind of lobby that was carpeted in red. I happen to pass
by Celine who was in a corner talking to the press. I stopped
to call her. She saw me, smiled and waved to me. Then she walked
right up to me and gave me a hug like we were longtime friends!
The freaky thing now is that I am in Vegas working in the Colosseum
and the carpet is all RED! "

your dream is a nice opportunity for us to talk about a particular
aspect of dreams interpretation i.e. dreams predicting the future.
Your
dream is in many ways a typical dream of a fan. You wrote that
you admire Celine and would like to meet her. While it might take
some time for such a wish to come true in reality, your wish got
fulfilled in your dream. It's the same mechanism that makes a
lot of other fans dream about their favorite celebrities. But
your dream bears the elements of what looks like a prediction,
doesn't it? You dreamed that you met Celine in a hotel with a
red carpet, and now you happen to work in a hotel which has a
red carpet. Moreover, you work in the same Las Vegas Hotel where
Celine chose to be for the next three years working on her show.
Does it mean that you are soon going to meet Celine?
Dreams
are born in the unconscious. The unconscious is a part of our
mind, that is unknown, or unconscious to us by definition. The
unconscious is populated by repressed wishes, fantasies, and subtle
fears, past and present. If you think of one's mind as a house,
the unconscious is a dark basement stuffed with old, sometimes
broken things of which existence we are often no longer aware.
At the same time, the unconscious is huge, and has mysterious
powers over us, as it often determines our actions.
Because
of such strong influence on us from the unconscious, some analysts

events that will happen in the future. In this regard, such dreams
are merely well-developed scenarios which are likely to happen
to us anyway based on our personal history. This is what some
(not all) scientists think.
So,
Christine, does it all mean that your wish to meet Celine will
be granted, and you are going to meet her in a hotel which has
a red carpet? While, there might be many opinions on the subject
of dreams predicting the future, I know for sure that those who
really want something, get it...
